Search Through Assets

Role Required: SDAdmin, SDSiteAdmin, Technicians with View Assets permissions.

AssetExplorer allows users to search through assets in two ways:
Column Search - Can be performed from the list view of any asset product type.
  1. In the list view of the selected asset, click the icon on the toolbar. The search bar appears beneath each column name.
  2. Type the search value in the respective column and click Enter on your keyboard.
You cannot search through date fields and cost fields.

Global Search - Search for assets from any page in the service desk instance using the  icon on the application header. Learn more.
