View Component Details
View all details of a component, including the financial and contractual data, and the component history. Technicians with edit permission to the component can spot-edit field values in the details page.
To view details of a component,
- Go to Assets.
- On the left pane, click a product type under All Assets > Components to open the component list view.
- Click an asset name to open its details page.
The key details of the component, such as its state, loan status, and counts of requests, problems, changes, and releases associated with it, can be found on the right pane.
On the canvas, the following entities are listed as tabs:

Copy Component
Make multiple copies of components and their details.
- Go to the asset details page, and click Actions > Copy Asset.
- Specify the number of copies.
- Click Save.
The copied component will be added to the component list view under the respective product type.
Attach Components/Assets to Components
Attach Components with other components and assets.
- Go to the components details page and click Actions > Attach Component/Attach Asset as preferred.
- On the pop-up, select the components/assets you would like to associate. You can search for assets and components based on product type, product, and asset states.
- Click Attach.
The attached components/assets will be listed under the Attached section in the Relationships tab of the component.
Attach Documents
Attach documents to components.
- Go to the components details page and click Actions > Attach documents.
- Upload the document you would like to attach. You can attach a file with a maximum size of 10 MB.
- Click Attach.
The attached document will be listed in the right pane on the component details page. Click the Attachments count to view the attached file.
Assign Components to Users/Department
- Go to the component details page and click Assign.
- On the Assign/Associate pop-up, select the user, department, or asset to which you would like to associate the component.
- Enable Retain user site as asset site to retain the user's site as the component's site. If this option is disabled, select a site from the drop-down.
- Loan components to users or technicians for a specific period. Enable the Is Loanable checkbox and specify the loan start and end dates.
- Add comments, if any, and click Update.
