Asset Details Page

Role Required: SDAdmin, SDSiteAdmin, Technicians with View Assets permissions.
  1. Go to the Assets tab.
  2. On the left navigation pane, select the asset classification - IT Asset, Virtual Hosts, Non-IT Asset and VMs, Asset Components.
  3. Select the asset product type.
  4. On the list view displayed, select the asset to view.
The asset details page displays all the asset information in the following tabs. Depending on the asset product type selected, the tabs displayed vary.

Asset Details 

The asset data captured when the asset is created or scanned in AssetExplorer are listed under various sections such as asset details, cost, user details, location etc.

You can upload documents related to the asset as attachments. At the end of the tab, click Browse Files or drag a file to the page.

Attachments cannot exceed 10MB.


Hardware 

The hardware details of the asset captured when the asset is created or during subsequent scans are displayed in various blocks.
Hardware details are displayed only for Workstations, Servers, Virtual Machines, and Virtual Hosts.


Virtual Machines 

Lists the various virtual machines created and hosted on the virtual host server.
Currently, AssetExplorer supports only HyperV and Vmware hosts in Windows.
Virtual Machines tab is displayed only for Virtual Hosts.


Software 

Software and service packs added manually to assets or fetched during scan are listed here in relevant sub-tabs.
You can delete unrelated software or service packs by selecting them and clicking .
Software details are displayed only for Workstations, Servers, Virtual Machines, and Virtual Hosts.


System 

Details of various user accounts created in the asset are fetched during scan and displayed here.
System details are displayed only for Workstations, Servers, Virtual Machines, and Virtual Hosts.


Relationships 

View and manage how the asset relates to other assets in the organization. Learn more.


Contracts 

View contracts associated with the asset from the Contracts module.


Financials 

Manage the cost incurred by the asset and the depreciation rate.


History 

View the asset history, and the ownership history. You can click an entry to expand/contract it.
