Role Required: SDAdmin, Technicians with View Assets permission.
Users synchronized from the Microsoft 365 admin center are displayed in AssetExplorer under Software > Microsoft 365 > Users.
The following details of the users are also listed:
- Name
- User Principal Name
- Services Allowed
- Department Name
- Subscriptions
- Licensed

Technicians are shown the users list based on their site permissions.
You can filter the users displayed based on tenants, domains, or licenses using the filters available.
To view the licenses and services available to the user, click the Services Allowed count.

In some cases, services allowed count in AssetExplorer may not match those in Microsoft 365. This can happen if global, license, or user admins have switched off certain services for the user in Microsoft 365.
User Mapping
Users from Microsoft 365 are only synced if they are added in AssetExplorer under Admin > Organizational Details > Users.
The subscriptions and license details in Microsoft 365 are mapped to the relevant user based on the following attributes.
Attribute
| Explanation
|
ObjectID
| Unique key assigned to users when they are created in Azure Active Directory.
|
ObjectGUID
| Unique key assigned to users in offline AD.
ObjectGUID is synced as ImmutableID to migrate users from offline AD to Azure AD.
|
Email Address
| Alternate email address created for users under Azure > DashBoard > Users > Authentication methods > Authentication contact info.
|
proxyAddress
| Multi-value property calculated based on various aspects of AD data. Post integration, the subscriptions and license details are mapped to users based on their proxyAddress.
