UEM Products

AssetExplorer integrates with ManageEngine's Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) products to help IT admins secure and manage devices such as workstations, smartphones, or virtual machines from a central location. 

Role Required: SDAdmin

 The latest compatible UEM .exe versions are: 
-  Endpoint Central 10.1.2137.13 
 - Patch Manager Plus 10.1.2228.8 
 - Vulnerability Manager Plus 10.1.2228.8 
 - Remote Access Plus 10.1.2228.8 
 - Device Control Plus 10.1.2228.8 
 - Application Control Plus 10.1.2228.8 

You can integrate any one of the following UEM products with AssetExplorer:
Product
Purpose
Endpoint Central
Manages devices such as servers, laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and browsers from a single console.
Patch Manager Plus
Supports patch deployment on multiple devices, including desktops, laptops, servers, roaming devices, and virtual machines, through a single interface.
Remote Access Plus
Helps system administrators access remote computers from a central location.
Application manager Plus
Controls applications that run in your network.
Vulnerability Manager Plus
Secures network with built-in patching to provide thorough visibility, assessment, and remediation of threats and vulnerabilities.
Device Control Plus
Prevents unauthorized access to sensitive data by controlling, blocking, and monitoring USB and peripheral devices.
 

Prerequisites   

  1. Install AssetExplorer along with one of the UEM products.
  2. Update AssetExplorer to version 6900 or later.
  3. Ensure a working connection between the application servers.

Benefits of integrating UEM products with AssetExplorer  

  1. Scan inventories easily.
  2. Scan workstations for inventory details related to hardware and software applications and update UEM products.
  3. Auto-assign owners for workstations based on the last login recorded in UEM products.
  4. Initiate remote sessions using the remote control option.
  5. Scan workstations manually to get information about missing patches and update UEM products.
  

Configure UEM Product Integration  

  1. Go to Admin > Apps & Add-onsIntegrations > ManageEngine.
  2. On the UEM Products card, click Settings.
  3. Use the pointers below to fill in the fields.
Fields
Explanation
Application Name
Select the required UEM application from the available options.
Server Name*
Enter the server name where the UEM product is hosted.
Server Port*
Enter the port number of the UEM product server.
Protocol Settings
Select the protocol: HTTP or HTTPS
API Key*
Click Change API Key. Enter your admin API Key from the UEM product or click Generate to create a new API key.
 *Mandatory fields
  1. Click Test Connection and Save to establish a connection between AssetExplorer and the UEM product server.
