UEM Cloud Products Integration

Integrate AssetExplorer with ManageEngine's unified endpoint management (UEM) cloud applications to sync your organization's endpoint data in the UEM application with AssetExplorer periodically.
By default, the data is synchronized every 15 minutes. You can modify this interval by updating appropriate global configuration variable.
Info
Role Required: To set up the integration, the technician must have administrative privileges to the UEM cloud application and AssetExplorer.

Notes
Note:
You can integrate only one UEM cloud application per AssetExplorer installation. Currently, AssetExplorer supports endpoint management through Endpoint Central Cloud.
Endpoint Central Cloud is a web-based, centralized solution that allows administrators to manage servers, workstations, and mobile devices, automate routine device management tasks, and customize operations.

  1. Update AssetExplorer to version  8000 (Professional or Enterprise edition).
  2. An Endpoint Central Cloud account with administrative privileges.
  3. Make sure the application servers are connected and reachable.
  4. Generate and download an authentication file from Zoho API Console.

Steps to Generate Authentication File

For secure data synchronization, an authentication file is required to validate the integration and establish a trusted connection.

The file follows the JSON format and contains credentials, such as client ID, client secret, and tokens. These credentials enable AssetExplorer to authenticate and communicate with the UEM cloud application securely.

Follow these steps to generate the authentication file for Endpoint Central Cloud:
  1. Go to Zoho API Console.
  2. Sign in by using the Endpoint Central Cloud account with administrative privileges. If already signed in, proceed with the next step.
  3. Add a client if not added already, and enter the following scopes: DesktopCentralCloud.Common.READ,DesktopCentralCloud.Common.Update,DesktopCentralCloud.Admin.CREATE,DesktopCentralCloud.Admin.READ,DesktopCentralCloud.Admin.Update,DesktopCentralCloud.Admin.Delete,ZohoFiles.files.READ
  4. Set the expiration duration for the authentication file. (Maximum 10 minutes)
  5. Click Create.
  1. Download the authentication file.
  1. Go to the UEM Cloud Product integration page in AssetExplorer and upload the authentication file.
