Return and Extend Loans

You can return and extend asset loans from the loan registry.
  1. In the Assets tab, go to Asset Loan section on the left pane.
  2. Select Loan Registry.

Return Loaned Assets

  1. On the registry list view, click Return Loaned Assets.
  2. Select the assets returned by using one of the options below. Details of selected assets will be displayed on the right pane.
    1. Scan asset's barcode(s) - Scan the barcodes of assets returned.
    2. Search asset(s) by name - If the asset already exists in AssetExplorer, you can select the assets from the drop-down.
  3. Specify the return date.
  4. Choose the user who returned the asset.
  5. Add any relevant information about the loan as comments, if needed.
  6. Click Return.

Alternatively, you can go to the loan details page, select the assets to be returned and click Return.


Extend Loans

  1. On the registry list view, click the asset loan to be extended.
  2. The loan details page is displayed.
    1. Select the assets whose loan must be extended and click Extend on the toolbar
    2. Click Extend on the right pane to extend loan period for all assets in loan ID.
  3. Specify the date until which the loan must be extended to.
  4. Add any relevant information about the loan extension as comments, if needed.
  5. Click Save.
