Management Information Base (MIB) Browser


Role Required: SDAdmin

The MIB browser lets you navigate and retrieve values from the selected network device's MIB. The SNMP MIB browser enables you to issue SNMP MIB queries on a specified network device and display the result of these queries.
  1.  To access MIB browser, go to Admin > SNMP Configuration > MIB Browser.
  1. On the pop-up window, choose the MIB file of a specific network device.
  2. Browse through the MIB tree and select a specific MIB node or a folder for which you want to view the OIDs.
  3. You can sample query a device to check whether the selected OID fetches the right attribute value.
  4. You can provide the hostname/IP address and the community string to query the device.
  5. Alternatively, you can set up credentials under Set Credentials.
    1. In Set Credentials, you can choose from the saved credentials. If the testing device uses SNMP v3 protocol, choose SNMP v3 in the Settings box and make sure that the corresponding parameters are set.
    2. If your device uses SNMP v1/v2 protocol, you must set up the corresponding parameters.
  6. After setting up the credentials, click Get. The attribute values returned for the OID queried in the host device will be displayed.
 To view attributes with multiple values, click the MIB node and click Table.
