Integration Key

Administrators can configure multiple API keys to allow delegated access for different integration requirements. Integration keys can also be reassigned to different technicians if needed.

Role Required: SDAdmin

Add New Key   

  1. Go to Admin > Developer Space > Integration Key.
  2. Click New.
  3. Fill out the displayed form using the pointers below.
    1. Name: Provide a unique name for the integration key.
    2. Roles: Select the roles to associate with the key.
    3. Key expires on: Specify if the key has a validity period and configure the expiry date accordingly.
    4. Description: Provide a short description or add notes on the integration key.
  4. Click Generate.

View key

All generated keys will be encrypted on the list view page.
To view a specific key,
  1. Click the key name.
  2. Enter your application login password.
Ensure the password provided is the same as the password used to log in to the current session. 
  1. Click View to display the integration key. You can copy the key to a secure location and use it to perform REST API calls.

List View Operations

  1. Use the filters drop-down to view the keys based on their status.

  1. Click  beside an integration key to perform the following operations:
    1. Edit the roles associated with the key, configure key status, or extend the validity period. You cannot edit the generated key.
    2. Reassign the integration key to other SDAdmins users. You can also bulk-reassign keys by selecting them and clicking Reassign on the toolbar.
    3. Delete the key from the application. You can also bulk-delete keys by selecting them and clicking  on the toolbar.

  1. Click to search through the columns listed.

After you reassign a key to another technician, you cannot perform any action on the key. 
On deleting a key, all integrations configured using the key will be disabled forever.
 If you delete a user, the keys of the deleted user will be auto-assigned to you. 
If the deleted user has keys configured in instances where you do not have access, the keys will be associated to a random SDAdmin in that instance.

Notifications  

The bell notifications triggered for various activities performed on an integration key are listed below.
  1. When an admin user reassigns a key to you, you will receive a push notification on the event.
  2. When the keys of a deleted user are auto-assigned to you, you will receive a push notification.
  3. If a key is about to expire in three days, the key owner will receive a push notification to take necessary action.
  4. To configure the day to send the reminder notification, contact support.
  5. When a key has expired, the key owner will receive a push notification.
  6. When a custom role associated with a key is deleted from the application, the key owner will receive a push notification.
