Exclude certain IT assets and Virtual Hosts/VMs from being scanned during automated or scheduled scan.
Use case: Assets in restrictive environments or with unique configuration requirements can be excluded from scanning.
Role Required: SDAdmin, SDSiteAdmin, Technicians with Add/Edit Assets permissions.
- In the Assets tab, select your preferred asset classification - IT Asset or Virtual Hosts and VMs.
- Select the asset product type.
- On the asset list view, select the preferred assets.
- Go to Actions > Excluded from scan on the toolbar.
- Click Exclude. You can also choose to remove excluded devices from AssetExplorer by selecting Exclude & Delete.
You can also exclude assets from being scanned from the Admin > Discovery > Scan Settings. Learn more.
This operation is not available for non-IT assets and asset components.
