Edit/Delete Asset Components

Edit Asset Components   

Role Required: SDAdmin, SDSiteAdmin, Technicians with Edit Assets permissions.
In the Assets tab, select the asset component type from the left navigation pane.

From Asset Details Page:

  1. On the asset list view, select the asset component to be edited.
  2. The asset details page is displayed. Click Edit on the toolbar.
  3. Edit the asset details and asset state as needed. You can also associate the asset component with another asset or configure depreciation.
  4. Click Update.

From Asset List View:

  1. You can edit IT assets in bulk from the asset list view.
  2. On the asset list view, select the asset components.
  3. On the toolbar, go to Actions > Edit.
  4. Edit the asset details as needed.
  5. Click Update.



Info
You can bulk edit components of any product types at a time (e.g., Keyboard and mouse). However, only one-to-one fields can be edited.
Fields with unique enabled will be not be shown in the bulk editing pop-up to avoid duplication issues. 
Mandatory field option will not be applicable in bulk edit.  
You can also bulk edit components from the global search results. 
Only up to 100 components can be edited in bulk.



Delete IT Assets   

Role Required: SDAdmin, SDSiteAdmin, Technicians with Delete Assets permissions.
  1. On the asset list view, select the asset components to delete.
  2. On the toolbar, click .
  3. Click OK.
