Create group

Create group

  1. Go to Assets and select Groups from the left pane.
  2. Click beside Manage Groups. Alternatively, you can select Manage Groups and click Add New Group on the page displayed.
  3. Enter a unique group name. This is mandatory.
  4. Describe the group objective or details.
  5. Select the group type - static or dynamic.
  6. Click Save.

  1. Depending on the group type, configure the relevant fields:

Dynamic group

  1. Select the assets to add into the static group.
  2. Use the filter to view and select assets/asset components. You can also filter the assets displayed based on asset state.
  3. Click Add.

  1. Define the criteria and condition to be checked using the relevant drop-down menus.
  2. Click Choose.
  3. Select the condition values based on the selected criteria.
  4. Click OK.
  5. You can define multiple criteria using the drop-down menus. Select one of the logical operators to be applied if multiple criteria is configured:
    1. Match ALL of the following (AND) - Asset will be added to the group only if all the criteria is satisfied.
    2. Match ANY of the following (OR) - Asset will be added to the group if any one of the criteria is satisfied.
  6. Click Save & View Group.

You can also create groups from the asset summary page or Quick Actions  on the application header.
