Configure SNMP V3 Credentials

Role Required: SDAdmin
 
SNMP V3 credentials are used for scanning network devices like printers, routers, and switches.
To configure SNMP V3 credentials,
  1. Navigate to Admin > Discovery > Credentials Library.
  2. Click Add New Credential.
  3. A New Credential pop-up opens.

  1. Select the Credential Type as SNMP V3.
  2. Select protocols based on the FIPS mode status:
     
    FIPS-enabled mode
    Authorization Protocol: SHA-256 or SHA-512
    Encryption Protocol: AES-128, AES-192, or AES-256
     
    Non-FIPS mode
    Authorization Protocol: MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, or SHA-512
    Encryption Protocol: DES, AES-128, AES-192, or AES-256

  1. Once the corresponding protocol is selected, enter the Authorization password and the Encryption password.
  2. Enter the SNMP Port number.
  3. Set the Timeout. This indicates the time after which the connection would be terminated.
  4. Set the count for Retries. This indicates the number of attempts that can be made before Timeout happens.
  5. Click Save Credential.
