View Configuration Item Details
The CI details page displays all information related to a CI.
To view the CI details page,
- Go to CMDB and select a CI type from the left pane.
- Click a CI name in the list view to open its details page.
Tabs
The CI details page will display the following tabs, depending on the CI type selected.
- Details: Displays the basic information and additional details of the CI.
- Associations: View associated requests, problems, changes, and releases. You can also view the number of associations on the right pane.
- Relationships: View relationships configured for the CI and add new relationships. You can view relationships in the List or Template view. Learn more.
- History: View the CI history. You can filter the entries based on time and sort them in ascending or descending order.
Actions
- Edit CI Details: Click Edit at the top to modify the CIs details. Alternatively, you can inline-edit the fields in the Details tab
- Link CI: Link the CI to entities such as assets, department, service category, user, etc. Click Link this CI on the right pane and select the entity from the pop-up. You can search for a particular entity or filter by module and site.
- Attach Documents: Click
> Attach on the right pane to upload documents. You can also preview or download attachments from here. CIs with attachments are represented with the
icon in the CI list view.
- View Relationship Map: Click View Relationship Map displayed at the top to open the relationship map. Learn more about relationship maps.
- Copy CI: Create a copy of the CI by clicking Actions > Copy CI. Specify the number of copies and click Copy.
- Create a request, problem, or change: To create a new request, problem, or change from the CI Details page, click Actions and select the appropriate option. In the pop-up, choose a template and click Create. The add form will open in a slider.
