Change Scan Credentials

Update authentication details used for scanning and discovering assets.

Role Required: SDAdmin, SDSiteAdmin, Technicians with Add/Edit Assets permissions.
  1. In the Assets tab, select your preferred asset classification -  IT Asset or Virtual Hosts and VMs.
  2. Select the asset product type.
    1. To update credentials for an individual asset, go to the asset's details page.
    2. To bulk update credentials, select the assets on the list view.
  3. Go to Actions > Change Scan Credential.
  4. Choose how the credential must be applied:
    1. Network Mode - Select a network (IP address/range) to authenticate and scan the devices.
    2. Use Credentials - Select credentials from the credential library to authenticate the devices.
  5. Click Save or Save and scan now.
This operation is not available for non-IT assets and asset components.
