Change Product Type/CI Type

Update the CI type or device type of CIs based on their specifications and functionality.

1. On the CI list view, select the preferred CIs.
   
2. Go to Actions > Modify Type (or) Modify CI Type.
   
3. Choose the product or the CI type you want to convert the CI to from the drop-down.
   
4. Click Save.
   

You can also modify the product type of a CI from the Actions menu in its details page.

Change State

Update the availability or status of CIss. Asset state helps technicians track and manage the life cycle of CIs.

1. On the CI list view, select the preferred CIs.
   
2. Go to Actions > Modify State.
   
3. Choose the asset state from the drop-down. If the CI is moved to In Use state, specify the user/department/site where the CI is used.
   
4. Add comments if needed.
   
5. Click Save.
   

Alternatively, you can also spot edit a CI's state from the list view. Click a CI state from the Asset State column to modify a CI's state.

 

For CIs created from assets, actions performed on a CI will be reflected on the corresponding asset as well.
