Convert IT devices misidentified as servers in AssetExplorer.
Use Cases:
- An all-in-one PC used as a server was identified by AssetExplorer as a workstation.
- A server was identified by AssetExplorer as a virtual machine.
- A server's alternate domain name was identified by AssetExplorer as a virtual host.
To update the devices as servers,
Role Required: SDAdmin, SDSiteAdmin, Technicians with Add/Edit Assets permissions.
- In the Assets tab, select your preferred asset classification - IT Asset or Virtual Hosts and VMs.
- Select the relevant asset product type - Workstations, Virtual Hosts, or Virtual Machines.
- On the asset list view, select the preferred assets.
- Go to Actions > Change as Server(s) on the toolbar.
- Select the server product type to which the asset must be moved.
- Click Save.

This operation is available only for Workstations, Servers, Virtual Hosts, and Virtual Machines.
