Backup Scheduling

Backup Scheduling

Backup scheduling allows you to configure periodic backups of AssetExplorer.
The backup and restore process for Endpoint Central must be done separately if it is downloaded and installed within the AssetExplorer installation folder on a Windows server for inventory, remote control, and tools functionality.  Please refer to this link for more information.

To schedule a backup,
  1. Go to Admin > General > Backup Scheduling.
  2. Click Edit Scheduling.
  3. Select the date and time of the backup.
  4. Choose to include File Attachments in the backup.
  5. Provide the email address of the technician to be notified if the backup fails.
  6. Create a password for the backup. This will be required to access the backup files.
    1. To change the existing password, click Reset Password. (You can view the existing password on the Backup Scheduling configuration page.)
  7. Provide the backup location and the number of days to retain the backup files.

In case of partial backups, disable any anti-virus restrictions on the file location. Check for corrupted files and reschedule the backup.
