Asset Additional Fields

You can define your own organization-specific fields to include in the New Asset form in addition to the default fields. You can add text fields, numeric fields, and date/time fields in the form.
To create an asset additional field,
  1. Go to Admin > Customization > Additional Field > Asset.
  2. Click New Field.
  3. On the New Field pop-up, select the field type from the drop-down at the top. Refer here to know more about the different field types.
  4. Provide a name and description, enter a character limit, and set a default value if required.
  5. Encrypt single and multi-line fields that may contain personal information of users.
  6. You can also preview how the field will appear in the form based on the details you've configured here.
  7. Click Save after entering the details.
