View Non-IT Asset Details

View all details of an asset, including the financial and contractual data and the asset history. Technicians with edit permission to the asset can spot-edit field values in the details page.
To view details of an asset,
  1. Go to Assets.
  2. On the left pane, click a product type under All Assets to open the assets list view.
  3. Click an asset name to open its details page.
  4. The key details of the asset, such as its state, loan status, and counts of requests, problems, changes, and releases associated with it, can be found on the right pane.
On the canvas, the following tabs are displayed:

Assign Non-IT Assets to Users/Department     

  1.  Go to the asset details page and click Assign.
  2. On the Assign/Associate pop-up, select the user, department, or asset to which you would like to associate the asset.
  3. Enable Retain user site as asset site to retain the user's site as the asset's site. If this option is disabled, select a site from the drop-down.
  4. Loan assets to users or technicians for a specific period. Enable the Is Loanable checkbox and specify the loan start and end dates.
  5. Add comments, if any, and click Update.

Copy Assets 

Make multiple copies of assets and their details.
  1. Go to the asset details page, and click Actions > Copy Asset.
  2. Specify the number of copies.
  3. Click Save.
 The copied assets will be added to the assets list view under the respective product type.
 

Attach Assets  /Components   

Attach assets with other assets and components.
  1. Go to the asset/components details page and click Actions > Attach Asset/Attach Component as preferred.
  2. On the pop-up, select the assets/components you would like to associate. You can search for assets based on product type, product, and asset states.
  3. Click Attach.
 
The attached assets/components will be listed under the Attached section in the Relationships tab of the asset.
 

Attach Documents     

Attach documents to assets/components.
  1. Go to the asset/components details page and click Actions > Attach documents.
  2. Upload the document you would like to attach. You can attach a file with a maximum size of 10 MB.
  3. Click Attach.
The attached document will be listed in the right pane on the asset/components details page. Click the Attachments count to view the attached file.
