Types of asset groups in Asset Explorer:
Static Group: Add the relevant assets to the group manually.
Dynamic Group: Assets matching certain criteria are added to the group automatically.
Create Asset Group
- Go to Assets > Groups > Add New Group.
- Enter a unique group name. This is mandatory.
- Describe the group.
- Select the group type: static or dynamic.
- Click Save.
Add Components to Groups
Static Group
- Go to the component list view, and select the components using the check boxes.
- Click Actions > Add to Group.
- You can choose a static group from the drop-down, or create a new static group by enabling the respective radio button.
- Click Save.
Dynamic Group
Components matching certain criteria are added to the dynamic group automatically. For that, you must define the component criteria while creating the group.
- Define the component criteria using the relevant drop-down menus.
