Add Assets to Groups

Organize assets in groups based on various properties. You can add assets to static groups from the list view.

Role Required: SDAdmin, SDSiteAdmin, Technicians with Add/Edit Assets permissions.

  1. In the Assets tab, select your preferred asset classification - IT Asset, Virtual Hosts and VMs, Non-IT Assets, or Asset Components.
  2. Select the asset product type.
  3. On the asset list view, select the preferred assets.
  4. Go to Actions > Add To Group on the toolbar.
    1. Select an existing static group to which the assets must be moved.
    2. You can also create a new group to move assets by providing the name and description.
  5. Click Save.

You can create static groups and organize assets in dynamic groups from Groups section on the left navigation pane. Learn more.
